A trip through Downtown Pittsburg shows a proud heritage rich in unique historic buildings, stately turn-of-the-century homes,and award winning musueums with hands-on exhibits. Pittsburg was designated a Main Street City by the Texas Historical Commission.

Be sure to visit Witness Park, which includes a chapel that never closes, a 75-foot tower with French Paccard bells chiming on the hour, and a bronze sculpture of Jesus and the disciple Peter.

Water is a prime recreational draw for Pittsburg with five lakes located just a short drive away. Whether you fish, boat, ski, hike, camp or just want to enjoy the outdoors, you can have it all at Lake Bob Sandlin State Park.

Downtown Pittsburg also offers a host of antique shops and an authentic soda fountan shop. There are over 100 antique shops within a 40 mile radius.
